Enough stupidity for one day... [Feb. 24th, 2005|10:23 pm]
Nothing really fun to report from yesterday. Did the 8th grade student orientation in the Bob in the morning, drove to school, finished writing my essays for religion, took my math test, and all the other boring school related stuff.

This morning go to the Bob for the first school day shows for CYT... Basically final dress rehearsal... I spent the first half hour searching the theatre for my gloves that I knew I left there somewhere yesterday. Finally found them locked in a cabinet with cables. (I left them there when I was searching for patch cables.)

Then we decide to let everyone in and things are going good for a while... Until Chad decides to do something with the lights and he starts freaking out that the board has gone bad because all sorts of random lights are on and we can't turn them off on the board or the RFU. I reset the racks, nothing. But I can control them at the rack so that means we aren't totally gone. After wiping the board and playing with all sorts of other stuff, Matt decides to bring down all the faders on the arch. panel in the booth... All the lights suddenly turn off!

Let's see... someone started a little camera competition the other day during rehearsal - people running around with cameras. I pulled out my little camera to torture the kids, and told them that I would bring my real camera if they weren't careful. So this morning I brought my D100 down there to take some pictures - basically just an excuse to blind the entire stage crew with the flash. In any event, took lots of pictures today... mostly just to be annoying. (sounds like me, huh?)

I tore a dress, or at least part of a dress off a girl today when I took the scrim out and she obviously had come in contact with it somehow... I'm pulling out two scrims and hear this big RRRRRIIIPPPP... Not good... I turn around, look and see fabric hanging from the pipe and keep going... I had a hard time keeping myself from laughing hysterically for the rest of the show.

Brought a drop in during a scene when it wasn't supposed to be there - but it wasn't my fault... I was just doing what Riyley told me to do... It was confusing though, I will admit that much!

I asked a 14 yr. old (Hayley) to marry me today... She said no... I even explained to her that I had the dress and was ready to go right now... Didn't work! The story behind it is: I had a wedding dress in my hand for Ariel for the last scene of the show and I kept getting weird looks from the crew. (I help Ariel into and out of two of her dresses for the show...)

There was more, but it's getting late and I can't remember...

Batch, Chad, Kelly, Pyro and I went to Cheesecake tonight for dinner as we haven't been for a while and needed to go as I promised it to them (minus Batch, plus Bouse) for helping with the winter formal nominations the other month.

I got my pricing today from Da-Lite, so if anyone needs any Da-Lite stuff, hit me up!

Now I'm going to bed and I'm sleeping in tomorrow morning, so DON'T call to wake me up!

Last Week Plus... [Nov. 22nd, 2004|09:48 pm]
OK, so I'm just a little behind in my blogging and I'm not even sure I can remember what it is that I've been doing... Let's see what we can come up with:

Last Saturday I did the drama strike at the bob. Lots of standing around waiting for things to happen. I guess I should have just been happy that there was indeed lots of parents, etc. to help with the strike. Once they finally got the set out of there, we got to work on restoring house plot and cleaning. It was when I was mopping that I had the happiest event of the past couple weeks! I found paint (not black) on the stage! Flo is paying to repaint the entire stage cause they got paint on the stage - and we're not just talking about one little spot either! Gee.... if only people would listen to us in the first place! Thanks to Richie, Ryan and Batch for all the help on strike. We hit the Bar after strike, but we were all too dead to have any fun and everyone was gone so that didn't last too long before we got kicked out at 2...

On Sunday I drove to San Marcos to get a chair dolly from Batch which totally saved the day for the Music Society gig that day. I also got ASB's new fax machine which seems to be pretty decent... Music Society went well and nothing much more to report from there.

Monday I went down to ASB and started playing ASB Director to help Travis out as he is busy being an AP now... I think that was the night that I stayed there for a while talking with pyro about webhosting stuff and then Bouse, Mike (Harley), Batch, Pyro and I went to Outback for dinner.

Tuesday was more of the same I believe... Wednesday I went in, but got an email from Travis saying that he wanted me to take some time off and that he wanted to stay in control of things so I went over to the theatre and worked on a client database for events in there... It's going to take a lot of work as I am seeing to complete, but I think I can make it happen with enough patience on my part. I also remember that we went and tortured Jessica at the firehouse for lunch. Bouse did just about whatever he could think of doing to the cash we left on the table. He made a boquet out of ones and folded up the 20s into a little cube.
<a href="http://schester.com/pictures/misc/041117cash.jpg"><img src="http://schester.com/pictures/misc/041117cash.jpg" width=323 height=243></a>

We went back to torture Jessica some more on Thursday, but she wasn't there. Bouse tried to torture Sam, but it just wasn't the same... That evening Bouse and I went down to NC GMC to pick up his truck and we attended their customer appreciation dinner (or whatever it is called). The food was actually pretty good and it wasn't all that bad of a time... It was something different for a change which was good.

I think it had something to do with having the Firehouse for three days in a row and realizing how much weight I had gained this week from eating out and figuring out how I don't have any money left... but Friday I said enough was enough and when Bouse wanted to know where we were going for lunch, I put an end to it. He came up with a good idea and we barbequed at his house for lunch... It was so much easier... and so much cheaper... We really need to do stuff like that more often and forget about this eating out for every meal stuff... Unfortunately, it didn't last long and Bouse dragged me out to The Roadhouse for dinner, but I threw a kink in the plans... When we were about to park for the Roadhouse, I decided that we should try Johnny Carino's! It was pretty good and reasonably priced. I'd say that we need to throw it in the rotation, but I think we really need to get out of the rotation! I miss Idaho!

I really don't have a good clue what I did on Saturday... I think I worked on stuff on the computer... who knows...

Sunday it was raining/snowing outside when I woke up and the wind was blowing like crazy, so I made the decision not to drive to Vista to battle with everyone else in the stake for Stake Conference... I probably should have gone, but it's in the past now and there is nothing I can do about it. I did spend some time reading this months Ensign though, so the day wasn't totally wasted... Again Bouse wanted to go out for lunch, but I was starting to get hard set against it... and convinced him and pyro to come to my house instead of going out. Pyro brought some precooked chicken and then I made some chicken fetticuini (sp?). Then I got this really crazy idea to make some dessert. I made a crumb cake which actually turned out rather well in my opinion. A day later it is still nice and soft (cake) and crunchy (crumbs).

We talked about web hosting and other company stuff until 9:30 or so before I finally kicked Bouse and pyro out. They got this crazy idea in their heads to go skiing today - which they did even after Bouse had to go to the dentist to get his tooth fixed after it popped out eating caramels yesterday. In any event, our new hosting products will be coming your way shortly, along with maybe some more new dedication to promoting CBC Tech...

I also found out yesterday that the south side of the marquee says "no data." I've never seen that before and have no clue what it means... The north side still seems to be working though, so who knows what is going on there! I called Advanced Safety today to see what they had to say about it, but the tech still hasn't returned my call.

I also spent some time today trying to figure out this whole credit card thing... It's just so complicated and rather expensive, but I think we need to do it... Nova is going to be $25/month minimum plus $180 for windows software to do the transactions... I'm also going to have to go through more hoops if I want to be able to do online processing... So maybe the place that pyro found e-onlinedata is going to be a better deal at $45/month min. with no setup charge...

Can't think of much else to report... I've been pretty lazy today... Only left the house to take the mail out today and see the marquee for myself. I think it's time for bed now so I can get up tomorrow morning and wait for a phone call again from the marquee guys...

Football is Over [Nov. 13th, 2004|01:24 am]
The football season is over now that we've lost our last game. We had fun tonight though I think, thanks to Chad, Batch and Floate for coming up and helping out when Ben basically bailed on us. Chad and I played music for cheer and even got creative, went out and got monitors for the girls so that they could actually hear what we were playing. I think they helped out quite a bit, so maybe I'll have to look at getting ASB to buy some so that we don't have to steal them from the bob. We also need some new mic stands, so that could be in the order too...

This morning was the school show of FHS drama's presentation of "The Foreigner." Once again, I didn't pay any attention to the show, but I managed to get through a bunch of my emails. I got my main inbox down to 7 messages today... Man was I impressed with myself. I got lots of old messages returned/filed/taken care of and was getting close to done when I ran out of battery power and the show ended.

So the news is apparently out. Travis was hired on as the new AP for the high school, which means that he will be leaving ASB. The search is supposed to be on for a new ASB Director, so we'll just have to see how all of that goes. It was supposed to go up as an in-house vacancy today, but I'm not sure if it got posted or not. I guess it's going to be about a month or so before we might get a new director. I guess this means I get to train yet another one and do some more hand holding... How much fun! I guess the bring side is more hours! I'll probably spend a good portion of the next month in the office doing what I can to help Travis stay on top of two jobs...

After the game tonight, Batch, Chad, Floate, Lauren and I headed off to the bar. We finally convinced Travis to join us about an hour late, but he came. Neither Donna nor Jeremy was working so that some of the fun out of the evening, and of course Kiddy Officer Bouse wasn't there... but we tried to have some fun anway. I had to call it an evening shortly after midnight to take Lauren home, so we left Chad & Travis at the bar, but I don't think they lasted too much longer.

Time for bed now. I've got the morning off which will be nice and don't have to be at work till 5:30 for the last drama show and then strike. Strike ought to be interesting... if you're bored feel free to stop by around 9... If we get a big enough party together, I'm sure we'll end up at the bar again... Sunday I've got music society so no church or anything else for me...

It's Official [Nov. 10th, 2004|10:46 pm]
Well, I guess it is official. I registered for classes today at Cal State Fullerton. I guess I should give up my hopes of Idaho unless someone wants to quickly donate some money to my BYU-Idaho fund... I don't even really feel like talking about it now, so I'm just going to go to bed now I think... Goodnight all...

Go Field Hockey [Nov. 9th, 2004|10:41 pm]
We had a really good game today... and we won against San Pasqual. I took about 800 pictures so I'm still working on going through them. Let's see, the rest of the day - I edited music with Lupe at noon and then went to the Firehouse with Chad & Bouse. After the game this evening I went to the Roadhouse with Bouse, Batch, Pyro, Chad & Kelly and then we went car shopping... :) We looked at the hybrid Escape, but nobody bought anything. Not to much else to report. I think I'm going to watch some of the CMAs and then fall asleep.

DMV Norco [Nov. 8th, 2004|08:15 pm]
Ok, so for any of you who happen to need to go to a DMV office anytime in the near future... DON'T GO TO NORCO! It doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not because everyone has to go through the start here line which moves slower than the rest of the place... Oh well, live and learn I guess.

I had an interesting time driving to Fullerton this morning. I was planning on calling people and talking to them the whole time, but just never got around to doing it. I do miss the drive believe it or not - it gave me lots of time to "clear my head" and also would give me lots of time to talk to people on the phone (who keep calling me a bum! (sorry manders)).

It looks like I'm probably going to end up being "forced" into a decision here by not making one... I found the Institute today across the street from Fullerton, so I'll have to see if I can find anything there that would work out with me going to Fullerton. Maybe I'll try living up there again a couple days a week. Maybe I'll just keep driving, who knows... Each way has its own advantages.

Now I think it's time to watch Runaway Jury and then it's off to bed for me!

Still No Idea [Nov. 7th, 2004|10:25 pm]
Went shopping with Aimee today at Fashion Valley and then we met up with Batch, Floate, Promack and Pyro at Cheesecake. I was well behaved today and didn't leave totally stuffed, ready to explode, like normal. Not much else to report today other than that. I had some interesting conversations this morning (and this evening) about school and life... I still don't know what I'm going to do. I'm driving to Fullerton tomorrow to turn in my Palomar transcripts and then to renew my vehicle registration at the DMV.

Chad's [Nov. 6th, 2004|11:45 pm]
Was pretty lazy most of the day, but tired to get some things taken care of. Chad decided to throw a little party at his house tonight, so Aimee, Batch and I headed up there and met up with some of Chad's friends. It was fun to just go up there and hang out for the evening, just talking and laughing with others. It reminded me a lot of Idaho... and all the evenings with nothing to do and yet we would end up having a blast just hanging out with each other in someone's apartment or somewhere else.

I got an email back from Allison today. She told me that I have to come back out there... I'm so torn... I need to find a way to make this Idaho thing work out! I'm supposed to register for classes on Monday!

Do I give up everything here for a "new" start in Idaho? I would get out of school sooner in Idaho and probably be more focused, but I give up all the jobs here, all the friends, all the connections. I'm so confused! Bouse was talking about getting out of the state the other day - going to Oregon, Washington, Wyoming or something and that just reminded me of how much I want to get out of here. I wish I had the money to not have to worry about these things... Anyone have any donations to give me? Maybe it's time to finally sit down and do the math I've been talking about doing for months to see if I could afford to live out there... I also wonder if I could defer my admission for a semester... although I hate to do that after going through all the work to get in... I guess that's better than going through all the work and then not going at all... In another semester I could save up a lot more money to maybe make it through...

Three Things In Life [Nov. 6th, 2004|11:34 am]
Three things in life that, once gone, never come back -
Time, Words & Opportunity

Three things in life that may never be lost -
Peace, Hope & Honesty.

Three things in life that are most valuable -
Love, Self-confidence & Friends

Three things in life that are never certain -
Dreams, Success & Fortune

Three things that make a man -
Hard work, Sincerity & Commitment

Three things in life that can destroy a man -
Wine, Pride & Anger

Three things that are truly constant -
Father, Son and Holy Ghost

I ask the Lord to bless you, as I pray for you today;
to guide you and protect you, as you go along your way.
His love is always with you, His promises are true.
And when you give Him all your cares, you know He'll see you through.
